I am finally back from my holidays and despite numerous inconveniences this week end during my trip to France, I really had a great time. My friend and I drove more than 3000 miles in 9 days and we’ve seen wonderful places. I hope american people know how lucky they are to live in such a beautiful country. Anyway, here are some picture I shot during this trip, I hope you will enjoy them (the first one is a map of the trip.)
Also, Daniel and I are working are working on Fuse 0.2 targeted for next week. You can already get more information about it on the Fuse Blog. We basically added many new type loaders for each module (/Core, /Swing and /SWT) and we have cool new features. For instance, values can now be retrieved from an arbitrary source (plain text, XML and JDBC are supported by default.) We also introduced the concept of definitions that let you inject values into third party classes for which you don’t have access to the source code.
Finally, Chet Haase has been working very hard on a new version of his Timing Framework and he added very cool stuff. I suggest you to read his two recent articles about what makes your animation choppy and how to solve this problem. The new timing framework brings property setters (you just tell the framework to change the color of a button from #FF0000 to #00FF00 for instance), key frames and non-linear interpolation. Chet should soon post another article about these things and I will show you the simple spline editor I wrote to let you tweak non-linear interpolated animations more easily.
But enough about programming, let’s see some photos!
