Aerith, a Very Cool Swing Demo (Really)

The source code is available under BSD license!

At last! Richard and I finally got the chance to show the demo we've been working on recently with Joshua Marinacci and the help of the Swing and Java2D teams. This is also the reason why I didn't show many demos during the past couple of months. It is also the application from which the Fuse library comes from. The demo is called Aerith and should be available someday on aerith.dev.java.net. This is a Swing demo that uses Java2D, OpenGL, Timing Framework (for animations), SwingX, Matisse, Google Maps, Flickr, Yahoo! and some other cool stuff. I will try to post videos after JavaOne (so tired… wanna sleep…) but in the meantime here is a bunch of screenshots:

If you think it looks nice, you'll just love to see it in action with all its animations. The demo also features an applet that can show a 3D slideshow and a fullscreen animation that actually draws a route on the map while playing some music. Stay tuned for more information about Aerith!
