February 23rd, 2007,
Too bad you didn’t wait just a little bit more: the overexposed sky would have been exquisite! Nice picture anyways… I like the light produced by the sun’s reflection over the water surface on the boat.
Unfortunately there were not enough clouds and the sun goes down behind a hill. I waited a bit more but you loose the beautiful light on the boat and the water and get a nice dark-blue sky. I’ll try again soon :)
I’ve got a friend who raves about his graduated neutral density (GND) filter for these type of shots. Someone else reckons GND+Polariser is even better.
I did use a graduated neutral density filter for that shot :) Unfortunately it’s only a ND4 and I had left my circular polarizer at home. I personally don’t mind the sky to be overexposed in this shot.
I don’t mind it either. But being a nerd, I feel I have to make technical chit-chat ;)
Ce sont les quais de saône près de Vaise non ?
Sylvain : Presque :-) Les quais de Saône près de Perrache, au sud du pont ferroviaire en bas de la montée de Chouland.
Zuuut j’ai bien regardé pourtant ;)
