If you’re still not sure whether you should buy a copy of Filthy Rich Clients, take a look at our first review by Gregg Bolinger. Thanks Gregg!
My copy arrived yesterday. Well done lads.
Glad to do it. It really is a great book. I keep finding goodies.
Got my copy last week! Can’t wait to put it to use.
Thanks for supporting us folks!
Cooolest book around who is swing savy…
Read most of the book now its great,Looking forward for more cool stuff from u guys
This book is must for guys who want to bring his swing app to next level.
Great work guys.Keep it up
A pleasure to read (not so common for technical texts).
My copy came yesterday…looking forward to getting into it. BTW, great talk at JavaOne this year.
My problem with the review is where the reviewer complains about his inability to get projects running under Ant, then admits he didn’t really try to solve the problem. In fact, most of the “review” doesn’t deal with the book at all.
I’m not going to write a review here I’ll offer my endorsement. As a long-time Swing desktop app developer I was able to find a number of things to use in the application we’re currently developing (for in-house use). The book is very accessible and it’s easy to pick and choose what to use.
BTW, why would anyone not use Netbeans? :)
Hey, where’s the “edit comment” button? :) Now that I’ve read my comment after posting (I swear I read it before hitting submit too) I realize I’m not clear. Yes, my book came yesterday. The techniques we implemented were picked up at JavaOne and from the pre-release chapters. I’ve thumbed through the book and will be taking it to work today to share with the team.
I received it this morning, I can’t wait this evening :)
Rajesh, Mik: Thanks! I’m really happy to see you are enjoying it.
Paul: That’s clearer now, thanks for your comments!
benoit: Excellent! I’m glad to see the book is finally being delivered. I can’t wait for your feedback ;-)
I’ve ordered my copy ages ago now, and according to Amazon I’ll be able to wave it around only at the end of the month. Crap!
I just can’t wait any longer!
Where was this book a year ago?! Finally a top-notch book on creating BEAUTIFUL apps. You’ve made it look easy — and have given us tools that make the platform shine.
Well done!! I hope you sell a million copies. :)
Thanks John! We’re glad to be helpful :)
