Your photos are extremely well lit and sharp. What sort of equipment and settings do you use? Should I be able to get pix this nice from my humble 3 megapixel Cyber-shot?

  2. Romain Guy says:

I use a Canon EOS 30D with various lenses. All these pictures were taken with a Canon 70-200mm f/4 L USM lens. One of the most important things to take nice pictures is light and light was extremely good last Saturday :)

  3. Mr.Damien says:

alors tu as acheté Aperture 2 ? :)

  4. Romain Guy says:

On verra :)

  5. Ido says:

    Very nice photos :)
    Where you took them?

  6. Romain Guy says:

Thanks Ido. I took those pictures on Market Street and Union Square in San Francisco, right where I live.

  7. Marc says:

    Ecoeurant …

  8. Brian says:

I don’t speak French, but I think you said that you use LR currently and have been experimenting with Apperture 2.0. Which do you like best currently?

  9. Romain Guy says:

I still prefer Aperture’s workflow. The way folders, albums, etc. are handled is IMHO much better than in Aperture. Especially because you don’t have to map exactly your file structure. However, Lightroom is still faster on my current computer when it comes to development and I find it better organized. I still really can’t decide between the two :)

Whoever this “Marc” is, I think a mark of respect would be to give our english-speaking friends a translation.

And “Marc”, if you’re real: you have sad preconceptions about the world, and your facts are wrong.

    Here’s his blurb:

“Honestly, we don’t care about your photos of California.
You’re the stereotypical IT guy who wrote a book, got to the USA thanks to Sun (Microsystems), and who then gets hired by a hyper-elitist corporation: Google…
    Disgusting…

    Talking about stereotypes…sigh
